Sahyadri Travelines Refund Policy

At Sahyadri Travelines, a division of Sahyadri Associates, we are committed to providing exceptional travel and logistics solutions. We understand that plans can change, and this policy outlines the terms and conditions for refunds related to our services.

1. General Refund Principles

  • All refund requests must be submitted in writing via email contact@sahyadritravelines.com or through our designated customer support channels.

  • Refunds will be processed to the original method of payment used for the booking.

  • Processing times for refunds may vary. Please allow 7-10 business days for the refund to appear in your account after approval.

  • Any bank charges, payment gateway fees, or administrative fees incurred during the original transaction or refund process may be deducted from the refundable amount.

2. Refund Policy by Service Type

A. Vehicle Rentals (Cars, Vans, Buses, Trucks, Earth Moving Equipment) & Airport Taxi Service

  • Cancellation more than 48 hours before scheduled pick-up/service time:

    • Full refund, less any non-refundable booking fees or administrative charges (if applicable).

  • Cancellation between 24 hours and 48 hours before scheduled pick-up/service time:

    • 80% of the total booking amount will be refunded.

  • Cancellation less than 8 hours before scheduled pick-up/service time or No-Show:

    • No refund will be provided. The full booking amount will be charged.

  • Early Return:

    • No refund will be provided for early returns of vehicles unless explicitly agreed upon in writing by Sahyadri Travelines prior to the rental period.

  • Driver Duty Hours:

    • Refunds for unused driver duty hours will not be provided if the vehicle is retained beyond the agreed duration of service but not utilized for driving.

B. Travel Bookings (Train Tickets, Air Tickets, Room Bookings)

  • For train ticket, air ticket, and room bookings made through Sahyadri Travelines, the refund and cancellation policies of the respective airline, railway, or hotel will apply.

  • Sahyadri Travelines acts as an agent for these bookings. Any refunds will be processed only after we receive the refund from the respective service provider (airline, railway, hotel).

  • Administrative fees or service charges by Sahyadri Travelines for facilitating these bookings are non-refundable.

C. Tour Packages & Specialized Travels (Mysore Local Trips, Adventure, Wildlife, Family, Group, Honeymoon, Cultural, Pilgrim, Educational Trips)

  • Cancellation more than 30 days before the tour start date:

    • Full refund, less any non-refundable deposits, booking fees, or charges for pre-booked non-refundable components (e.g., specific permits, non-refundable accommodation).

  • Cancellation between 15 days and 30 days before the tour start date:

    • 75% of the total package cost will be refunded, less any non-refundable components.

  • Cancellation between 7 days] and 15 days before the tour start date:

    • 50% of the total package cost will be refunded, less any non-refundable components.

  • Cancellation less than 7 days before the tour start date or during the tour:

    • No refund will be provided.

D. Corporate Services & Large Quantity Vehicle Rentals (for staff movements, events, etc.)

  • Refunds for these services are governed by the specific terms and conditions outlined in the individual service contracts or agreements signed between Sahyadri Travelines and the corporate client.

  • In the absence of a specific contract, the general vehicle rental policy (Section 2A) will apply for cancellations.

3. Non-Refundable Circumstances

Unless otherwise specified, no refunds will be provided in the following situations:

  • Failure to show up for a booked service (no-show).

  • Early termination of a service by the customer.

  • Changes or cancellations due to personal reasons, including but not limited to, medical emergencies, change of mind, or missed connections, where insufficient notice is provided as per this policy.

  • Inability to provide required documentation (e.g., valid ID, permits) resulting in denied service.

  • Services that have already been rendered.

4. Force Majeure

Sahyadri Travelines will not be liable for any failure or delay in performance of its obligations under this policy if such failure or delay is due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, war, terrorism, civil commotion, strikes, epidemics, pandemics, government regulations, or natural disasters (collectively, "Force Majeure Event").

  • In case of a Force Majeure Event preventing the provision of service, Sahyadri Travelines will endeavor to offer alternative dates or credit for future services.

  • Refunds, if applicable under Force Majeure, will be assessed on a case-by-case basis, considering non-recoverable costs incurred by Sahyadri Travelines.

5. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, please send an email to contact@sahyadritravelines.com with the subject line "Refund Request - [Your Booking ID/Name]". Please include the following information in your email:

  • Your Full Name

  • Contact Number

  • Booking ID / Reference Number

  • Service Booked (e.g., Innova Rental, Mysore Local Trip, Flight Ticket)

  • Date(s) of Service

  • Reason for Refund Request

  • Any supporting documentation (if applicable)

6. Policy Modifications

Sahyadri Travelines reserves the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website. It is the customer's responsibility to review the policy periodically.
